It don't mean a thing, if it ain't got that swing

What do you listen to?

It don't mean a thing, if it ain't got that swing

To clarify quickly: I am titling a swing thread with lyrics from a jazz standard.
But then, swing apparently got its origins as a sub-genre of jazz. Which makes sense, I guess. (I generally have a mild dislike for jazz as a genre, but I love the song I I referenced in the title.)

I mostly listen to Western swing:

Here's Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys with "San Antonio Rose"

Roy Acuff - "Ida Red"

Hot Club of Cowtown - "Exactly Like You"

Now for some more traditional swing:

First Django Reinhardt, creator of Gypsy swing, with "I'll See You In My Dreams." I'm not generally fond of strictly instrumental music, but Django Reinhardt is a legend for a reason.

Here's Ella and Louie with "Dream a Little Dream of Me":

And of course the proto-swing song I referenced in the title, as performed by Duke Ellington, its author:

That's just not true at all.

Anyway, here's one of my favorite swing songs, from the 1941 Abbott and Costello movie Buck Privates:

(Presumably, the only way to stop a bad guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law is a good guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law, and thus transgender-friendly privacy law rights need to be enshrined in the Constitution as well)
