"Somewhere over the rainbow there's another rainbow"
I'm loving this album from Igorrr, an electro/breakcore/folk/metal album that's impenetrably complicated but also strangely listenable. I'd recommend giving the whole thing a listen at only 38 minutes.
Behold this excellent classic-style dance techno album made entirely from the three traditional rock instruments. Impressive, innit? Genuinely good too, makes my head bob. I could dance to this.
It pains me to see electronic music so woefully neglected! So here's a massive post about some of my favorites.
The Knife - love them. I've seen them performing and it was the most fun I've ever had at a music festival! It's hard to choose just one song to represent them, but since I consider Silent Shout to be among my favorite albums ever, might as well go with the titular track.
Fever Ray is the side project of Karin Dreijer Andersson, one of the members of The Knife. Beautiful, moody and melancholy electronic music, with more polish than The Knife in my opinion.
The Presets - they were already mentioned in this thread, and I'm gonna second that with a hell yeah! Liked those Aussie guys for a long while. They make some solid dance tracks, but often with something melancholy or darker underneath, which I love. This is their most recent single.
Peking Duk - another one from Australia. What's going on there? It's seems like so much good dance music I like comes from the land of spiders and snakes... It almost makes me sad I could never bear to set foot there.
Metal on Metal - something closer to home from the Baltics. These guys haven't put out much but I love what they have.
Tallinn Daggers - Flesh Parade. One of my favorite electronic tracks from my homeland.
Ten Walls - Walking with Elephants. And finally, something chill and instrumental for a change.
Ok, I think that is more than enough for one post.
There's a band from Belarus that goes by the moniker (((O))) and does something called witch house. I don't know what that means (I guess it sounds kind of gothy?), but if you want to hear some top notch mostly instrumental electronic music, they have a whole LP up for free on Soundcloud:
I ♥♥♥ electronic music with an extra special place in my heart for extreme speedy mcCheese stuff. (I blame high levels of Dance Dance Revolution exposure in my formative years)
