THIS SONG IS SO FREAKING GOOD. But I disagree about the dancing girl. As someone who used to dance, there doesn't seem to be any choreography and it's really just messy. I put the lyric video on my "Play Any Time All The Time" playlist because I was so bothered by her dancing, but maybe I've just gotten so removed from dancing that nothing would impress me.

Also here's a fascinating video tutorial on how to sing the song:

I really like the first Fitz & the Tantrums album and its 60's vibe.

The more commercial pop soundings of their new stuff is pretty good.

And the KEXP live performance is awesome.https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0FAF57997F2F3D1A

I really like this song. It would tickle me pink to hear this song on Top 40 radio sometime. It really sounds like it should be already!

Carly Rae Jepsen has come out with another earworm catchy song! The music video features Tom Hanks and a brief appearance by that other Canadian pop star.

I actually really really really really like it.

I love a good pop song! Unfortunately, what I consider good doesn't often end up on the radio nowadays. The big exceptions to this are Lana del Rey, Lorde and Florence. Some others I like:

Hurts

Lykke Li

Miike Snow (so catchy!)

Susanna Sundfør

Iiris (she's from Estonia :P)

I just noticed that all of those are from Europe... huh.

l also like pop from the 80s, like Duran Duran, Michael Jackson, and THIS SONG, OMG:

Is this pop? It sounds like a mixture of things but it feels poppy enough to put Dorothy to sleep so I'm putting it here.

Let's get some Canadian artists up in here. This is kinda halfway between pop and electronica, but I heard it on the radio for the first time this week and now I can't stop listening to it:

This one is probably my current favourite:

...and, here's the latest from the band responsible for 95% of my guilty pleasure songs. The chorus is just way too catchy.

Also, speaking of Canadian artists, I just saw Carly Rae Jepsen play the song JamishT linked above on SNL. It was great!
