Here's one of my favorite songs by the criminally underrated and seemingly barely known Devin the Dude. He was featured on a bunch of Scarface tracks and was also featured on Dr. Dre's 2001 album. Probably one of the most clever rappers out there. So many rappers use the same guns/drugs/hoes/cars formula. Its refreshing to hear a regular guy make this kind of music. So when you're finished reading this post or whatever you're doin, holla at me, I'll be in the bathroom boo boo'n.
Yes that is the cover of his debut album.

“This is going to become a bad meme,” Todd observed.
Echoing iMURDAu's sentiment with Devin the Dude, this is still one of my favorite songs. It doesn't get old.
Afroman is famous for Because I Got High, but he doesn't get enough credit for his other stuff. He's just an awesome dude. True story: in 12th grade I was at a party in Palmdale (where Afroman is from and raps about, it's 40 minutes outside LA). My ex girlfriend was there and even though she was my ex we still had a decent relationship, but she got absolutely shitty drunk and tells me she's going to walk to her friends house. Palmdale isn't a great area, it was late at night, and she was plastered. I kept telling her to get her friend to pick her up, but she insisted. So I begrudgingly decided to walk her to her friend's house. I finally get back to the party an hour later and everyone was freaking out, saying "that was the coolest thing ever!" and stuff like that. It turns out that right when I left, motherfucking Afroman rolled through and asked if they wanted him to play some songs. The dude sets up some speakers and puts on a show in the living room for like 40 minutes. All he asked for in exchange was some 40's and weed. My goddamn drunk ass ex kept me from partying with Afroman. I will take my hate for her into the grave. ANYWAY, this:

How could you guys go so long without posting a lil' Childish Gambino? I know he's not quite at the same level as the veteran rappers you guys have up here but he's fairly unique and is at least comparable to Ab-Soul and A$AP Rocky.

I like the stuff you posted! Always like new stuff.
I hadn't heard of A$AP Rocky either, I looked him up. Too much reliance on swearing, to me. Maybe I've getting old. One thing I thought was strange, why would he pick a name so close to Aesop Rock? They are both from NYC, so I can't see that being a mistake.

A$AP Rocky is a member of a hip hop collective and all of them have "A$AP" in front of their names or something. I'm not so sure about the "reliance on swearing" not all his songs are like "Fuckin Problems".
I prefer rappers like Aesop Rock and Del the Funky Homosapien, since they arent using the f word on every single hook. Like I said, I am getting old. Like whatcha like!
