So, back when my friend was flirting with Wicca, there used to be this little occult/costume shop in town. We'd head there after school all the time in our little catholic school uniforms, so the owners knew us pretty well. Anyway, one day when I was in there, the guy called me to the back to show me something he thought I'd like and brings up several Lordi clips.

Aren't they just adorable? This is what I assumed KISS sounded like before I actually listened to any of their music.

My #1 happy good time band is (The Lord Weird) Slough Feg. Mike Scalzi could sing about eating pancakes and I'd listen to it. Luckily, he prefers tabletop board game, British comic books, and my all time favorite piece of literature.

Ohhhhhh a metal thread, Michael, I almost lost my mind when I saw this! Love metal!

Ok firstly some Norwegian Black Metal from a band called Enslaved. I saw them in Dublin recently and they put on an excellent show.

And, I'm not sure if Tool even counts as metal but they are my favourite band, and this is my favourite song of theirs:

Aaaaand, to add to Michael's earlier post, another awesome Opeth song!

I could literally spend the rest of my life posting songs in this thread, and I may do that! Sorry!

Gany, any chance you have 20 minutes to kill?

Blackwater Park was the most accessible of Opeth albums, because most of the songs clock in at under 12 minutes.

Still Life...that album sat in my car's cd player for over a year.

Well, it also sat there for the 3 years I was away, but that doesn't count I guess.

Ah that was fantastic, best 20 mins I've spent all day! I love Opeth, thanks for that! Going to have to listen to them all evening now :)

This thread seems to be lacking 1980s traditional heavy metal...

(Presumably, the only way to stop a bad guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law is a good guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law, and thus transgender-friendly privacy law rights need to be enshrined in the Constitution as well)

Gany, I would like you to know that I lived in Orlando, which includes Altamonte Springs, which is where Death was formed, for about 6 years. Grandaddies of death metal! Made me proud.

Represent.

(Also wow, what a good choice you posted. Fast as a bat out of hell.)
