I have a confession to make. I love emo-esk punk-pop bands and I love the Pop Goes Punk series. And this band does those types of covers better than anyone else I think

More a collection of covers, really, but it's super fucking good. Give it a full listen, you won't be disappointed.

A great cover of the Cutting Crew classic.

Edit: The first link had 5min of dead air at the end. This one doesn’t.

They have also covered Good Times Bad Times by Led Zeppelin and Rocky Mountain Way by Joe Walsh. Those are closer to their style though.

I heard the original U2 version on the radio and it reminded me that this existed.

Inspired by Gany's posting of "Teardrop" by Massive Attack in the 90's thread, here is the version that also appeared in House, Jose Gonzalez's acoustic version:

Rather than trying to figure out which one is better, I've decided these are two completely different songs that happen to have the same lyrics and melody, and leave it at that. Gun to my head, Massive Attack edges slightly ahead, mostly because of heritage.
