So, what are you watching?

What have you been watching?

Space Dandy. I'm a fool for not having seen this multiple times already. What have I been doing with my free time?

I feel obligated to recommend Cromartie High now. It is hilarious.

Game Night. It's not bad but it didn't blow me away.

Same. It's too bad, because I usually love fantasy stuff. Did you ever watch the 10th Kingdom in the 90s? It was the same kind of concept, and I loved it. I was hoping OUAT would be similar but I was severely disappointed.

If I had to hear those women screaming about the dumb missing kid one more time I would have lost it.

This is the most embarrassing piece of work since Clint Eastwood painted his wagon.

As a rule I don't watch CW shows, because I think of them as prone to camp and melodrama. However after seeing some Rachel Bloom songs I've started watching Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. There's a lot of funny moments and nothing yet to make me nope out, but it still has a very CW feel to it.

So I made it through all the current episodes. My personal feeling is that each season was an improvement on the last. I wanted to finish the third season to be sure, but the third season was fantastic overall, and I'm looking forward to the fourth season, which Rachel Bloom has sadly announced will be the last. I love TV shows with good songs, so here's some of my favorites.

These two vie for my favorite.

"Women Gotta Stick Together"

"It Was a Shit Show"

Both of those and several of my favorites after that are sung by people other than Rachel Bloom. I think my favorite song of the songs that Rachel Bloom sings herself is "I'm a Good Person"

I've also had "Heinous Bitch" stuck in my head for some time.

I’m watching the 1989 Tom Hanks movie The ‘Burbs. It’s pretty great so far.

(Presumably, the only way to stop a bad guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law is a good guy with a transgender-friendly privacy law, and thus transgender-friendly privacy law rights need to be enshrined in the Constitution as well)

Season one of Dark Matter. I've seen it before but that was awhile ago and I don't recall the details of what happens.

Psych. I'd seen bits and pieces and thought it was definitely my type of comedy but we didn't really get it here as far as I could find and I got impatient waiting for Netflix to get on their ass and start streaming it so I bought the boxset a while back and I've just about finished the seventh season. Anyway, it's even funnier than I thought now that I can pick up on all the running gags. Woody is one of the weirdest people to instantly become my favourite character. Not sure what that says about me.

I'm also rewatching Community but I'm always rewatching Community so that hardly seems worth bringing up.

Oh, and I tried watching The Terror but after three episodes, nobody had whispered "Icy dead people" so I quit on principle. I'm a fickle SOB.

Well Woody is my favorite too, so what DOES that say about you?

JamishT was a heck of a guy,

And his feel-good powers,
He made all the girls blush and sigh.

My wife and I watch that. The second-to-last season suffers from a bit of bad writing, but apparently the final season is really good. Once we catch up on iZombie (which is also suffering from some bad writing) we're going to finish Longmire.

My wife actually has read all of the Longmire books (there's like 20 of them). I read ... two? I think.
